tl;dr: their story doesn't make sense. i'm still working on it.
- She and Teal originated from a single human. They're different parts of what the original person was.
- Seal embodies a lot of who the original human was physically, her body is the closest to the original person.
- An energetic muscle-head who needs things to be repeated to them twice... or more. Has a very open sense of humor, puns are their favorite.
- Excels in sports and track, they moved to a school with more extracurricular sports activities at the end of their freshman year. Very much that kid who participates in at least one sport each season, usually more.
- Currently a part of the volleyball, basketball, track and field, and soccer team. They put more effort into volleyball. Takes more of a stand-in role for other sports for emergencies.
- Their team positions are:
volleyball- spiker and libero
basketball- small forward
soccer- defender (fullback) - Her weakness is in swimming, however. They have a slight fear of water.
- Has an excellent, if not almost overbearing, sense of sportsmanship. Very much the embodiment of shounen sports manga.
- Very average academically, they've only taken 1 AP class and that was Environmental Science. All that matters is that her GPA is decent enough to keep them in sports.
- They "met" Teal when she was 15.
- The original human made an unfortunate contract with a demon (not Micah) in form of a wish at the age of 14 that lead to their soul and consciousness being split into 2 separate entities.
- Side note: A lot of demons mentioned in this universe occupy themselves with manipulating the idea of humans' physical lives.
- Although Teal and Seal share some specific physical traits with the original human, their general appearances (voice range, mannerisms, speaking habits, how they carry themselves, hair color, eye color) are different.
- They were kept away from one another until they had both regained mental stability.
- Because she had inherited, in a sense, the original human's body, she retained most of the muscle memory and kept vague memories. As her existence had not been entirely fictional, like Teal, she had to recuperate and rebuild her memories using the truth. A fair number of her memories are fictional due to the flawed nature of the human brain.
- Out of the two of them, Seal knows of the original human the most-- the general feeling of their daily life, school life, and family life.
- They met Teal fully knowing who and what he was, accepting that the two of them will be mentally supporting each other in the next few years.
- During the past couple of years, they were known as Seal-and-Teal: two parts of a whole. They built their identities off of that single concept to ground themselves in this "new reality". Seal would have been fine continuing to live their lives like this, but very recently Teal has been starting to talk more about them becoming their own persons, to stop relying on vague information and memories of a person who can never exist again. While she knew that there was hardly a chance of the two going back to one, she wanted the two of them to stay as two parts of a whole. But that can't be accomplished that if the other wants to be his own person.
- They've become to realize more themselves how Teal embodies the original human's ideal self
- Seal and Teal share similar lines of thought, so they understand each other fairly well. But recently, they've been getting into small disagreements more.
- Generally a smiley and happy kid, but has a little more withdrawn recently. They've been thinking about herself as their own person and struggling to figure out exactly which part of her is "her" and which is "the original", or if all that even matters.
- Despite whatever conflicts the two are currently going through, they still treasure Teal a lot.
